The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.

Wow! Today I skipped my second class because I really don't feel that great. When I got home I turned on the TV. I was amazed to find 'Night Court' is still on the air. Ahhh some things will never change.

We are searched for weapons when we board planes and enter government buildings. Government buildings are surrounded by concrete barricades. It's impossible to open a bottle of Tylenol when you have a headache because of tamper-proof packaging. These things were inspired by the acts of less than 10 people. Millions upon millions of people inconvenienced and harrassed in reaction to the actions of a group too small to make a jury. These precautions were implemented to make us "safe." Do you feel safe? The justification for the ridiculous inconveniences foisted on us, and real loss of freedoms, is that 'This is the magic bullet! This will protect you! You and your family need not fear again!' Remember how well those magic bullets work when you need them. Bad people will not heed rules and they will not be stopped by any policy or procedure created by politicians. When boxcutters are outlawed only outlaws will have boxcutters, or toenail clippers, or pointy sticks... I do hope they ban penicils and pens from planes just for the sake of consistency. Ugh.
