Man, there's crisis and paradigm-shift brewing everywhere. The war on terrorism brought home the reality of self-defense to a lot of empty headed liberals. It also exposed the utter stupidity of many previously adored academics. Now it seems the Catholic church is teetering towards a big shift. A quote:
"So while the church goes ballistic about the tiniest instance of outside-the-rules sex between consenting adults, as we all know now it did nothing for decades about felony sex priests inflicted on children."
The church will either become relevant or die here in the US. I think a lot of folks are Catholic out of habit. Push them too far with this kind of shit and they'll turn Unitarian.
