Mmmm... Apparently those tasty healthy organic foods should be handled with as much care as raw meat. (Appetizing thought huh?) Because they're "all natural" they're grown with manure fertilizer and so are exposed to E coli, shigella and salmonella. There was a big E coli outbreak because of "all natural" Odwalla juice a few years ago. Pasteurization is a bad thing doncha' know.

Whoo. Zimbabwe is in for a rough time. Mugabe "won" the election. (Deja vu?) I had some slim hope that he'd lose, there'd be a brief bloody spat, the UN would step in, and order would be restored. Now with other african countries claiming that the election was legitimate it's real hard for any outside entity to intervene and oust that madman. The country is ripe for genocide. Things may get very ugly before they improve.

It seems I'm not the only one thinking of pitting the mormons against the muslims. The Wall Street Journal's Best of the Web Today has a little piece on that very subject.
