Helpful hint of the day: if you get blood on fabric drizzle hydrogen peroxide on it before it dries out. Use about four capfuls and scrub it with your finger. The blood fizzes right out.

It's hot! Our grass is growing an inch a day I swear. So are our shrubs. Still I prefer lush healthy overgrowth to brown crappy looking dead stuff. Our yard is carpeted in those maple tree helicopter things. Just when we get the yard cleaned up the trees dump more crap on it. I tolerate this because the trees keep the house about 10-15 degrees cooler than the outside.

Blogger now has cookies to retrieve eaten posts? How wonderful. I still won't rely on them. Someday I'm going to move this blog to Moveable Type (love the name.) But first I have to figure out how to move certain essential files to OS X. Once I accomplish that it will be a short trip to own-server custom-PERL-script posting. Well maybe it'll be a few months, but I dream big.
