A lot of people don't seem to realize that 100 years ago the flu didn't exist. It killed a lot of people. Now it's just regarded as a severe cold. Inevitable every few years. Only the immuno-suppresed and the elderly are at risk. Hmph.
Take this tale and insert smallpox.

More election frustration. Wellstone voted against the Iraq resolution. One more reason that I don't want to vote for him. (That and the fact that the loony lefty liberals are holding him up as some sort or martyr/ messiah/ saint figure.) However my distaste at the idea of voting for Wellstone is outweighed by my fear of Coleman in office. I wasn't even this conflicted on Bush vs Gore.
