"We didn't know! -But we knew." Go
here and read this. If you claim that you didn't know, you're being dishonest. I've known what was going on in Iraq since high school. Credible information was out there for anyone who cared to look.

Imagine if people had protested against stopping Hitler because they didn't like FDR. Not in Our Name indeed. To your eternal shame.

Happy Independence day. I hope you're all out drinking, showing skin, and criticizing the government. Or not. You're free to make that choice. Ain't it grand?

Ugh. Our judicial system is seriously dysfunctional but
this is not the solution. If we want to avoid another OJ trial the first step should be banning CourtTV.

I am so tired of power outages. I'm saving up and getting a generator. Our power went out last night at 3am. It came on for about 5 minutes, long enough for me to reset all the clocks and restart the computers, at 6pm, only to die again. I called Xcel to report it again and the automated system said that the outage might last till monday. Fortunately The Guy came back within 2 hours.

The problem: A tree in my back yard was growing into the lines and shorting them out. This was due to a few holes in the insulation, (a whole seperate scary subject, especially when the guy fixed them by wrapping electrical tape around the holes.) Anyway... I had called Xcel last summer to tell them to come trim this tree, since it was growing into the lines. They said they don't make special trips and it would have to wait for a scheduled maintenence crew to go through. More than a year later no crew has been through and it knocked the power out for the whole block for 17 hours. Bastards.
