Well I certaily hope that the
Saudis are on the list to be dealt with in the next few years. There are several issues involved. We're not ready yet. Dismantling Saudi Arabia would be like dismantling a hornet's nest. You think hunting down the Nazis took decades! You think North Korea is a difficult problem! Plus, we can't telegraph the blow.

So, not saying much about it right now makes sense. But... The Bush family's relationship with the royals bothers me. He's had some of them to Crawford. I'm not quite sure of his motivations. Until proven otherwise I'll assume he's playing snake in the grass, but I'm uneasy.

More on the BBC and the dead guy. This isn't looking good. See also Andrew Sullivan's comments, including a connection I hadn't made. The BBC reporter was the same one who denied on the air that the Americans were at the airport in Baghdad, when he wasn't at the airport. Even more amusing, another BBC reporter who was at the airport, went on the air to explain that Gillian wasn't and that the Americans most certainly were there.
