180 degree headline.
Study: Female gamers outnumber boys

The article then goes on to say:
Women 18 and over: 26%
Men 18 and over: 38%
Girls 6-17: 12%
Boys 6-17: 21%

I know that the point they're trying to make is that there are actually more adult women players than adolescent and teenage boys, but it's really poor headline writing. As for the results, I'm not the least bit surprised. It has a whole lot more to do with geekdom than with gender. Several of my female friends participate.

I
agree. I don't think we need that day crammed down our throats nonstop but I do think we need to do some serious remembering at least once a year for the next few years. As she says, the world was not what we thought it was, and we need that lesson reinforced periodically. Complacency is easier, but there are 3000 reasons not to allow ourselves to forget or minimze what we learned that day.
