Well we'll just have to see how
this works out. I'm eternally hopeful but also a bit skeptical. If it still stinks next summer I'll be disappointed but not surprised. I don't want the plant to close. I think it's great to have industry in the city and I think ethanol is important. I just don't want to smell it. Though I will say that it has improved over the past 3 years. Summer of 2000 was awful. This past summer I think there were fewer than a dozen days when I gagged as soon as I walked out the door. Sigh. When you look at what coffee roasting facilites have to do to ensure that no odor escapes... I can't understand why this plant can't get it right.
