We may be in the very earliest stages of that, much described in sci-fi, pivotal human event: the scientific documentation of psychic phenomena. I just watched the most interesting program on the Discovery Health channel. I know several people who'll recognize themselves
here.

Well they found one of these streetlight guys and had him watch a movie on a laptop while both the audio and video were being yanked around by a random number generator. Turns out, he appeared to correct the audio balance to compensate for his hearing loss. The possible explanation presented was that the rules of physics get really weird when you get to particle size and that somehow the microtubules (like the nerves of individual cells,) which vibrate in a conscious brain enable "sliders" to influence electronics. If you think in terms of fractals and quantuum mechanics it sort of makes sense. I would so love to be plugged in to the coffee maker chat at this place. I don't know that it's any more incredible than the six flavors: up, down, sideways, sex-appeal, peppermint, and strange.
