I've suspected that Tar-jay was getting too big for their britches for a few years now. The decision to bar the Salvation Army bell ringers right before the biggest shopping season strikes me as alarmingly divorced from the perceptions of your customers. My opinion: I think it's dumber than a rock. A really dumb rock. I look forward to plopping a dollar in that pot every time I trek to Target during the season. Ah well. There was one chain I felt comfortable shopping at, no more. Now I'll have to try to avoid it and feel vaguely guilty when I do shop there. Piss away your customer's goodwill Target, and watch your sales plummet.
. . .
Yup. Every person that I've introduced to shooting has been literally shaking nervous at first and in love with it by the end.
. . .
Well OK. If they fire everyone and build in some major transparency I'll stop hating them quite so much. I still think the organization is compromised beyond redemption, and I'm disgusted that it took CONGRESS to point that out, but I'll consider moderating my loathing depending on the outcome.
