Well if Bekki's satisfied that she's legit, I'm satisfied. This is one of the most hurl-worthy
accounts of the collapse of New Orleans that I've yet seen.

This is a quote from someone discussing disaster preparedness from before Hurrican Katrina.

"If you believe people are basically evil, and 'polite society/law and order' is the exception rather than the rule, you'll realize that it won't take much to destroy the thin veneer of Civilization. If you believe people are basically good - you're in for a rude suprise when the shit hits the fan!"

An even older quote is: "Every society is no more than three meals from anarchy."
